Through Supra Healthcare, Avacare now has access to a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Operated by 78 skilled professionals, the plant is ISO 13485 certified and offers form fill and seal facilities, plus injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding and bottling.

It also boasts a milling and extrusion line for silicone tubing and injection moulds for medical devices, expanding our range of locally manufactured products. The plant and facilities have been completely refurbished, and have four new cleanrooms: one Class 7, two Class 8 and one Class 9, while a 15cbm ETO steriliser and scrubber now complete the production cycle.

We recently added a manufacturing plant for disposable body bags and aprons, generating much-needed employment in the area. The plant has substantially improved lead times for supplying body bags and now we export aprons to Lesotho, Namibia, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. In line with our high standards, only the best and most reliable body bags and aprons leave our plant for distribution.
