SEASONAL CHARACTER AND CHARM
Taking a look around the office, you may notice that more skin is exposed as fewer shirts are tucked in. A sign that spring is officially here! The change of season certainly brings another seasonal occurrence: the need to revisit your company’s warm weather dress code policy.
Dress code gets some of the highest number of complaints in the workplace, therefore, employees need to understand that personal appearance and grooming habits should meet the standards of those in a professional position.
Today it is not uncommon to see an individual headed to work in a pair of jeans and button-down shirt or blouse, because most employees say they value comfort. This is more reason why an approach and communication of expectations in the workplace regarding this topic should be proactively communicated.
So no matter what time of year it is, when in doubt, don’t!
